Tent Decals / Graphics maintenance

Here are some important tips to care for and maintain your tent graphics / applied decals:

1.  Contour decals are adhesive vinyl.  Folding the tent will cause the adhesive to become loose.  When receiving your tent, unfold the tent and apply pressure to the adhesive to help secure it to the tent surface.  Usually it takes about two days to let the adhesive cure and stick to the surface.  If possible, leave outdoors for about 2-3 days before rain / damp weather for better results.

2.  Decals tend to come off on the edges over time.  Use a dry clean cloth applying pressure over all areas of the decal in a wiping motion.

3.  When washing the tent, please use a light bleach such as soap or other similar washing agents.  Do not use anythings that will harm vinyl.

4.  When storing the tent vinyl with graphics, please make sure there is no moisture trapped inside the folded tent and it must be clean.  Mildew is can be a big problem when a tent is not stored correctly.

5.  When setting up a tent, do not use any sharp materials or objects.  Also, do not pull extremely hard as some buckles or other parts might get caught on a folded area resulting in a torn tent.

Please use only water and a damp cloth to clean decals. Tent Cleaning solutions may be used but
do not use adhesive remover on decals.  It will dissolve decals.
Tent decal will fade over time. Most of the decals are rated for about 3 years. This means that the
decal will start to break down and/or the adhesive will loosen during the fading process.

Please consult the tent care and maintenance for additional precautions.
